What is the HIPPA Act?


HIPAA: Health Insurance Portability And Accountability Act (1996) This is the federal law that protects the privacy of people's health information held by health insurers and providers.

The purpose of this notice is to inform you, the customer, how your personal health information is used and/or disclosed by Breastfeeding With Love, as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. (HIPAA).

I want you to be fully aware of what I do with your information so that you can provide me with your consent, in order for me to treat you and address your breastfeeding problems, where I receive payment for my services rendered.
